Desde que venceu o tradicional Prêmio Fico do Colégio Objetivo, a cantora paulistana se tornou figura frequente nos palcos da noite paulistana. Primeiro como intérprete, depois experimentando composições próprias. A certeza de seu caminho musical fez com que Tiê investisse em seu talento. Estudou canto em Nova Iorque, onde continuou sua carreira. O talento chamou a atenção de Toquinho, que a convidou para ingressar em sua banda. Tiê rodou o Brasil e o mundo com o músico e acumulou experiência. Em busca da carreira autoral criou ao lado do amigo e parceiro Dudu Tsuda, o celebrado projeto Cabaret, que se notabilizou em dois dos melhores clubes de Sao Paulo: Vegas e Studio SP. O período rendeu um EP à cantora, e uma excelente visibilidade na mídia: Tiê foi colocada em todas as listas de novas cantoras promissoras e destacada pela peculiaridade de seu som – bastante auto-biográfico.

Em 2008 Tiê preparou seu primeiro CD. Em nova parceria – agora com o produtor carioca Plinio Profeta – foram gravadas dez faixas de autoria própria, ao vivo, bem ao estilo low-fi –antiga tendência resgatada por novos cantores/compositores folk do mundo todo. O trabalho foi batizado de Sweet Jardim. As quatro primeiras faixas (Assinado eu, Dois, Quinto Andar e Passarinho) são baseadas na voz e no violão tocado por Tiê e trazem arranjos incidentais e minimalistas que valorizam o lado musicista e romântico da cantora. O tom sobe na quinta e oitava músicas (Aula de Francês e Stranger But Mine), que ainda trazem Tiê ao violão, mas com arranjos mais rápidos e próximos ao folk e letras que mesclam o francês e português (Aula de Francês) e o inglês (Stranger But Mine). Chá Verde (sexta faixa) introduz Tiê ao piano, e é a mais autobiográfica canção do disco. O piano com acompanhamentos incidentais se repete na nona faixa (A Bailarina e o Astronauta). As duas músicas explicitam a elogiada capacidade de letrista da cantora. Por fim, a música titulo, Sweet Jardim, surge como uma celebração do trabalho, embalada pelos violões ciganos do mestre Toquinho, que faz participação mais do que especial no disco. O trabalho, ainda conta com a concepção estética da estilista Rita Wainer, que também assina a capa.

How long we retain your data
