Live 8

Considerado, por uns, um acontecimento oportunista e discriminatório e, por outros, como a nova batalha pela melhoria das condições de vida do Continente Africano, a verdade é que o Live 8 será o maior acontecimento musical de todos os tempos, contando com a participação dos principais nomes da música mundial.

Embora com objectivos diferentes, o Live 8 é o herdeiro do Live Aid 85, que se realizou em Londres e Filadélfia. Outrora Bob Geldof e Midge Ure, responsáveis pelo projecto, pretenderam angariar fundos para o combate à fome em África, desta vez, pretendem pressionar os líderes do G8 (Grupo dos países mais ricos do mundo) para que estes se empenhem verdadeiramente na resolução dos problemas do Continente Africano, particularmente na erradicação da pobreza extrema em que vivem milhões de Africanos.

Desta vez, e em simultâneo, ocorrerão no próximo dia 2 de Julho gigantescos concertos em Londres, Roma, Paris, Berlim, Barrie (Canadá), Tóquio, Joanesburgo (África do Sul) e Filadélfia.

Em cada uma das cidades haverá um cartaz fortíssimo que pode, juntamente com muitas outras informações, ser consultado aqui.
