Este novo lançamento de Morrissey deverá ser visto, para além dos inegáveis interesses económicos envolvidos na produção deste tipo de álbuns ao vivo, como uma demonstração de que o tempo, muitíssimas vezes, melhora tudo por onde passa.

É um álbum que fará as delícias de qualquer fan dos The Smiths e, consequentemente, de Morrissey. O trabalho reúne um conjunto de grandes performances do cantor, demonstrando definitivamente que Morrissey se encontra num momento único de explosão criativa e interpretativa.

Este é um trabalho composto por 18 temas, gravados (com excelente qualidade sonora) nos concertos que o músico deu por ocasião da recente tournée inglesa de apresentação de «You Are The Quarry» (um dos melhores álbuns de 2004) nas cidades de Londres, Glasgow, Birmingham, Brighton e Dublin.

Mas, contrariamente ao que se possa pensar, este «Live at Earls Court» não é apenas a transposição do álbum «You Are The Quarry» para o formato ao vivo. Este é igualmente um exercício nostálgico, contando com temas emblemáticos dos The Smiths como «How Soon Is Now», «Shoplifters Of The World Unite» or «There Is A Light That Never Goes Out», para além de alguns B-Sides do músico britânico, covers como «Redondo Beach» de Patti Smith, aos quais se juntam alguns dos melhores temas do seu aclamado mais recente trabalho de originais.

Uma imperdível apresentação ao vivo de um músico que soube envelhecer musicalmente de uma forma verdadeiramente inspiradora.
