Super Bock Super Rock: Act II – Day 2

Pouca gente, pouca emoção. Ontem o ambiente esteve quase sempre como o tempo. Ventoso, árido e sombrio. Num festival de Rock, o dia foi salvo pelo último concerto da noite através da electrónica de James Murphy e os seus LCD Soundsystem.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Um concerto que não ficará para a história, de uma banda que parece ser melhor em álbum do que em concerto, embora seja uma banda a rever noutro espaço.

Maxïmo Park – Uma boa actuação de um esforçado Paul Smith, capaz de entusiasmar os fans presentes nas filas da frente, mas incapaz de contagiar o restante público pese embora a impressionante energia que o líder dos Maxïmo Park manifestou em todo o seu set.

Jesus and Mary Chain – A desilusão da noite. É inadmissível a péssima qualidade do som, num festival com a dimensão do SBSR. Desde uma guitarra que teimou durante todo o concerto em fazer um feedback incrível, até ao recomeço do clássico «Some Candy Talking», foi uma actuação mediana de uma banca com uma imensa história. Apesar do entusiasmo de muitos festivaleiros, que cresceram ao som dos irmãos Reid, a geração 80’s merecia um pouco mais do que um concerto que, por muitos era esperado há longos anos, e que, foi pouco mais do que um concerto para cumprir calendário.

LCD Soundsystem – Mais uma vez, o último concerto da noite foi, o melhor concerto da noite. Grande actuação de James Murphy que conseguiu, juntamente com os seus excelentes músicos, contagiar todo o público presente com a sua electrónica carregada de rock. Impressionante o poder vocal de James Murphy, um verdadeiro perfeccionista, constantemente a controlar a qualidade de som da banda. Um dos melhores concertos do SBSR conseguindo transformar o Parque Tejo numa imensa discoteca rock-electro ao ar (vento forte) livre.
