50 Bands, 50 States (Part I)

O Jornal «The Boston Phoenix» escolheu o melhor cantor/compositor, a melhor banda e a maior revelação de cada um dos 50 estados norte-americanos. (Informação via O Biscoito Fino e a Massa) Obviamente que a validade e concordância com os nomes constantes de qualquer lista deste género será sempre muito discutível. No entanto, aqui no EM, vamos, neste momento, pegar, mais em pormenor, nas revelações. O Exercício é simples, 50 states, 50 bands que pouca gente conhece (ainda). Destaque para algumas bandas (que já são certezas) e que o EMreferiu em anteriores posts, como são os casos dos Gossip, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver ou DeVotchKa. No entanto, existe ainda muito por descobrir e é precisamente isso, que nos propomos fazer, estado a estado, por ordem alfabética, divididos em vários posts.
